Access Control System
Access Control System
Access Control can be considered an extremely important area among the applications of recognition technology. The existing methods using keys or passwords have the problems of loss, theft, and forgetfulness. Focus Technologies provides you with the representative technology that can overcome these problems. This particular technology has excellent convenience of use and economical efficiency, making it an area of technology sector with the fastest growth.
Although in the early days this technology was centered around laboratories or specialized facilities of ordinary companies, recently the application area has become extremely broad as not only security but convenience of use got emphasized, with areas of application in ordinary companies, factories, and apartments. As Focus Technologies recognition access control system doesn’t have the troublesome problem of reissuance due to loss or the burden of carrying around peripherals, its demand is increasing every day in the access control areas.
All of the below are covered within the access control/building management sections and biometrics and others:
- Proximity Readers
- Mifare Readers
- Biometric Readers
- RFID System
- Visitor Management System
- Facial Recognition
- IRIS Recognition
Proximity Card Readers and Cards
Proximity readers continuously transmit a low-level fixed radio frequency (RF) signal that provides energy to the card. When the card is held at a certain distance from the reader, the RF signal is absorbed by a small coil inside the card that powers up the card’s microchip which contains a unique identification code. Once powered, the card transmits the code to the reader.
Bioscrypt FingerPrint Readers
Kantech’s access control system integrates with biometrics industry leader L1’s “Bioscrypt” brand – to confirm the identity of the person trying to gain access to a protected area. Fingerprint identification is the most popular biometric method today due to its superior combination of strength, affordability, convenience and ease of use. It offers dual authentication and increased security by matching proximity cards with fingerprints to prevent identity fraud.
HandKey II (Hand Geometry) Reader
Hand recognition geometry uses the shape of the hand to identify/verify the person. Both the HK-2 and the HK-CR (both models for indoor use only) use field-proven hand geometry technology that maps and verifies the size and shape of a person’s hand all in less than one second. . These solutions are perfect for one door or an entire facility. The HK-CR is designed to work in conjunction with card based access control systems.
Software House Multi-Format Proximity Card Readers
As companies merge, the variety of access card systems throughout a business can cause major headaches for security and IT staffs. The Multi-Format Proximity reader allows businesses to continue using the different proximity cards that may be in use without changing readers. Software House proximity readers read more proximity card formats including HID® 125 KHz, Casi Prox-Lite, and Deister 125 KHz.
Suprema Biometric Readers
Software House teams up with Entertech Systems to offer a series of Suprema biometric readers to their portfolio including: BioStation T2, BioEntry W, and BioEntry Plus, all fully integrated with C•CURE 9000 BioConnect.
